Speech Language Pathologist, Full Time, Heber, UT

RMC Heber is pleased to announce an opportunity for a full time Speech Language Pathologist to join our team with a $5k signing bonus. Rocky Mountain Care’s skilled nursing and rehabilitation community in beautiful Heber, Utah is a leading care provider for seniors in Wasatch and Summit County.

We focus on providing the best possible care for our residents by focusing on one-on-one therapy, personalized care plans, and maintaining the highest service standards. Our highly skilled nursing staff are trained to meet the special needs of our patients in a kind, friendly manner.

There are no 15 minute encounters, we do not schedule at 125% production, and we encourage our therapists to spend the time to ensure each patient receives the care they require.

Our Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for the following:
* Evaluating levels of swallowing, speech and language difficulty
* Identifying treatment options
* Creating and carrying out individualized treatment plans addressing specific functional needs
* Teaching patients how to make sounds while improving their voices and maintaining fluency
* Helping individuals improve sentence structure and vocabulary used in written and oral language
* Working with adults and children in developing and strengthening muscles used to swallow
* Counseling individuals and families on ways to cope with swallowing and communication disorders

Our team of rehabilitation specialists work with each patient individually to restore residents to the highest possible level of independence. Our physical therapists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists help our residents re-learn basic living skills and increase their strength and confidence.
