Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in supporting students' communication and language development within a public school setting.
The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders to enhance students' academic success and social participation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language evaluations for students referred through the IEP process.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that address students' communication needs.
• Provide direct therapy services for speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication disorders.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate strategies into the classroom.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy goals as necessary.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multi-disciplinary team discussions.
• Support students with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act), NJDOE regulations, and district policies.

Skills & Competencies:

• Expertise in speech and language assessment and intervention.
• Strong understanding of articulation, phonology, fluency, voice, language development, and social communication.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and students.
• Ability to document services and progress accurately and efficiently.
• Knowledge of assistive technology and augmentative communication methods.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
