We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary team in a skilled nursing facility setting. In this role, you will help residents regain communication, swallowing, and cognitive abilities while improving their quality of life. Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or Clinical Fellow welcome to apply
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation, or geriatric setting preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in residents
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician orders
- Provide therapy to residents recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, surgery, or illness
- Assess and manage dysphagia and recommend appropriate dietary modifications
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with regulatory and facility guidelines
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy techniques and treatment plans
- Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to patient-centered outcomes
