About the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Role
As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Aspire Senior Living Jonesburg, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders in our residents. Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote optimal communication and swallowing function. Your expertise will help our residents regain their independence and improve their overall quality of life.
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' communication and swallowing abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders
- Provide speech therapy services to residents, including individual and group sessions
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
- Document resident progress and treatment outcomes accurately and timely
- Participate in staff education and training to ensure best practices in speech language pathology

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Current licensure to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Missouri
- Experience working with older adults and individuals with communication and swallowing disorders
