SPEECH PATHOLOGIST

  • DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

    • A member of the health care team who plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of speech therapy.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    • Professional/Educational

      • Graduate of an accredited program in speech and language pathology.
      • Current IL State Speech Pathologist licensure and membership with ASHA; or Speech Pathologist licensure and CFY. When CCC (certificate of clinic competence) is obtained, ASHA membership is required.
      • Basic computer knowledge.
      • Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
      • DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
    • Personal

      • Evidence of good health, grooming and professional conduct.
      • Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others.
      • Possess a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty.
      • Appreciation of and desire to be a part of a health care team dedicated to providing patient optimal care.


Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
