Shift:  Monday–Friday 07:00AM–5:00PM (8.5-hour shifts)

Job Description:

• Provide inpatient and outpatient speech-language pathology evaluation and treatment, including assessment and management of speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
• Evaluate patients, interpret assessments, develop evidence-based treatment plans, make therapeutic recommendations/referrals, and manage complex neurological, sensory, motor, physical, and cognitive conditions.
• Conduct bedside swallow assessments, Modified Barium Swallow Studies, speech/language/cognitive evaluations, and specialized tracheostomy, speaking-valve, voice, and swallowing assessments.
• Collaborate with physicians during endoscopy, stroboscopy, nasopharyngoscopy, FEES, and videofluoroscopic studies, while independently performing acoustic and perceptual speech and voice evaluations.
• Provide patient and family education and counseling regarding disorders, treatment plans, progress, diet, exercises, prognosis, and community resources, and prepare required documentation for physician review.
• Maintain clinical competency and provide evidence-based care consistent with credentialing requirements and applicable professional standards.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Official education credentials showing at least 18 semester hours in Speech Pathology from a regionally accredited college/university and graduation from a CAA-accredited ASHA program.
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Documentation of 2 years of acute/rehabilitation hospital-based SLP experience within the past 4 years, including TBI and neurological disorders.
