Job Description
What You Will Do:
- Provide screening, identification, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, intervention and follow-up services for disorders of speech and language
- Provide training and support to teachers, other professionals and family members of individuals with speech, voice and language communication
- Develop and establish effective augmentative and alternative communication techniques and strategies, including selecting, prescribing and dispensing of aids and devices and training individuals in their use
- To work with adaptive devices
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with students, parents, administrators, school personnel and community representatives
- Maintain accurate and timely records
- Demonstrate professional conduct and exhibit professional growth
- Manage a safe and comfortable learning environment
- Prepare for and participate in the REED/IEP and nonpublic service plan process
- Inform building administrator of student's progress and programmatic concerns
- Direct students in clinical or pre-clinical training, volunteers, and attendant personnel that may be assigned to them
- Comply with school district policies and procedures
- Effectively participate in meetings, committees, staffings, and other required district and building activities in a positive manner
- Effectively plan and organize duties as well as personal work environment
- Comply with Medicaid billing procedures
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Other duties as assigned
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Ancillary/Health Services and the Supervisor of the Autism Program
Need to Have:
- Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist License or Educational Limited SLP
- License Experience in evaluation and therapy of children with disabilities preferred

Working Conditions:
