ID: 54140178 Shift: 9a-5p Description: Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Location: Marysville Post Acute Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Job Summary: Marysville Post Acute seeks a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our skilled nursing facility (SNF) team. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in our residents. The ideal candidate is passionate about enhancing residents quality of life and committed to delivering evidence-based care in a supportive and collaborative environment. Responsibilities: Evaluate and assess residents for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on residents needs and goals. Provide therapy to residents with neurological disorders, dementia, post-stroke impairments, and other conditions affecting communication and swallowing. Conduct Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) or work with radiology teams to assess swallowing function. Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies, swallowing precautions, and therapeutic exercises. Document evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge summaries in compliance with state and federal regulations. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and dietitians. Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility to obtain). Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or geriatric setting is highly desirable. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
