POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

The Speech Therapist is a qualified professional who directs, supervises, evaluates and provides speech therapy services to patients as prescribed by the attending physician and under the therapy supervisor. The Speech Therapist provides direct patient care coordinating assigned patient loads and the work load of support personnel.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

1. Graduate from an accredited school holding a Master's Degree in Speech Therapy.
2. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology granted by the American Speech and Hearing Association. Clinical Fellowship year (CFY-SLP) accepted with completion of CCC in 9-12 months.
3. License/Registration/Certification: Indiana Licensure and current CPR certification.
4. A basic understanding of federal and state regulations regarding billing, compliance, documentation, and supervision of support staff as they relate to the practice of relevant discipline.
