Stationary Engineer

Summary

While performing duties related to St. Clair Hospital, this position is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and maintaining boilers, chillers and all other heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) and auxiliary equipment (e.g., pneumatic tube systems, fire alarm systems, and building automation) to ensure safe and proper delivery of required services and utilities. According to detailed specifications and schedules, fires boilers and controls generation of a continuous supply of steam.

Minimum Qualifications

1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Advanced training/experience in physical plant operations
3. HVAC equipment operation experience.
4. Knowledge of personal computer operation.
5. Stationary Engineer license OR Power Engineer License (minimum Class 4)

Preferred Qualifications

1. Previous hospital plant operations experience.
2. Previous experience with an automated energy management system.
