Summary

Maintains a level of clinical proficiency necessary for the oversight of the Physician Coding Education team. Is responsible for managing the daily activities of the team to meet the expected requirements of Lee Health. The supervisor is involved in the evaluation and education of all phases of the quality documentation process. Provides coaching and feedback regarding performance issues as well as work with the staff to identify and resolve process issues and facilitate educational needs. Collaborates with Medical staff, PAs, NPs, Nurses, Coding and Data Quality department Director.
