Supply Chain Application Engineer Hybrid

JOB SUMMARY

The primary function of the Supply Chain Application Engineer is to represent Supply Chain in new technology and operational projects through application help, integration and implementation of Supply Chain ERP related applications. Effective execution of primary functions require management and resolution to end user tickets, testing and coordinating downtimes and upgrades, demonstrated strategic thinking and problem solving by using appropriate information to diagnose problems and identify solutions and managing customer relations by fostering productive and effective relationships with business users.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

  • Field end user SCM ERP related support questions and work with end users to resolve issues with a focus on identifying root cause of issues and implementing solutions to avoid repeat occurrences
  • Setup and retire users of the ERP and related SCM systems with access to needed modules and conduct routine audits to ensure appropriate levels of access
  • Steward and maintain requisitioning approval levels and associate approval matrices
  • Work closely with GPO, Distributors, and Vendors and other related third parties to ensure systems, processes and interfaces effectively help business operations
  • Stay updated with ERP vendor on new system functionality/releases and guide implementation/training with business and technical teams
  • System setup and configuration for upgrades/ implementation of new functionality
  • Drives user acceptance testing, business validation during production implementation, and post production help
  • Prioritize and carry out project management functions on multiple SCM projects without direction and drive projects to completion with a focus on ensuring user acceptance and deployment adoption
  • Create test plan, test cases, training plans, and user guides
  • Drive change management process from current to future state with applicable departments and measure effectiveness of new solutions
  • Research and recommend best industry standards and practices where applicable

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

  • Skilled with Lawson ERP System including par locations, inventory management, EDI, AP invoice matching, receiving and electronic chain of custody, Lawson security
  • Trained with Lawson Add-ins and query tool
  • Experienced with Excel & Access Database (ODBC) Relational Database Management System
  • Excellent knowledge of SDLC and business testing
  • Problem solving system processes and sound knowledge of data flow and integration
  • Excellent knowledge of Healthcare care delivery operations
  • Working knowledge of Healthcare Supply Chain processes
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and applications
  • Exceptional customer service skills are a must

Location: DFW or Temple/Central Texas, Hybrid

Shift/ Schedule: Day Shift, M-F

  • EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
  • EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
