• DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
  • The Surgical Tech is responsible for the care and use of instruments in the operating room working under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, certified surgical technologist, and/or surgeon. On call rotation with 60 minute response time required.
• QUALIFICATIONS
  • Professional/Educational
    • Completion of a Surgical Technician or Surgical Technology training program.
    • Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Knowledge of principles of asepsis.
    • DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
  • Personal
    • Evidence of good health, grooming and professional conduct.
    • Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others.
    • Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty.
    • Ability to follow directions accurately.
    • Willingness to participate in call schedule and work irregular hours as necessary.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
