Surgical Tech - Ortho

Position: Surgical Technologist – Orthopedic OR
Location: Peoria, IL

We are currently seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a direct hire opportunity in Peoria, IL. This role is ideal for candidates with strong Orthopedic OR experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Job Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Tech experience required
• At least 1 year of Orthopedic experience required
• NBSTSA certification preferred
• Must have completed an accredited Surgical Technologist program with hands-on clinical training or military training
• BLS certification required
• Scrubbing experience required

Common Cases:
• Total joints – hip, knee, shoulder
• Arthroscopies – knee, shoulder, hip, wrist
• Hand surgeries
• Pediatric ortho cases
• Trauma & fracture cases

Schedule & Call:
• 10-hour shifts: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Weeknight call rotation: 1–2 nights per week
• Weekend call: 1 weekend per month
• Holiday call as needed
• 30-minute call response time required

Additional Information:
• Charge nurse and house supervisor support available 24/7
• EMR: EPIC Optime (limited use)
• Printed preference cards available for cases

Compensation & Benefits:
• Salary Range: $27.26 – $38.48/hr
• Additional $2.50/hr weekend differential
• $15,000 Sign-On Bonus (2-year commitment)
