Systems Analyst

Position Summary

  • Responsible for the monitoring, coordination of updates, testing, and ongoing support for the ambulatory EHR remote hosted environment in conjunction with all vendors. Manages bidirectional data movement with the hosted environment

Primary Position Responsibilities

  1. Coordinates with ambulatory EHR hosting vendor all installation of server hardware and software requests and updates.
  2. Coordinates with hosting vendor all upgrades and patching of operating system software on terminal servers and application servers.
  3. Monitors and manages all SFTP and interface requests, including new and existing requests.
  4. Manages tasks associated with ambulatory practice changes, which include new and modification requests.
  5. Creates and manages assigned help desk tickets.
  6. Creates and manages applicable documentation, both in educational format and/or ticket tracking.
  7. Prepares and presents technical offerings, summarizing findings, alternatives and recommendations; assists in root cause analysis.
  8. Provides backup of overflow for Help Desk support.
  9. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education:
    • Required:
      • Associate's Degree
      • Certificate and/or Advanced Specialized or Technical Training
    • Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Sciences
  • Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
    • Required:
      • 1-3
    • Preferred:
      • 3-5 or more
  • License, Registry or Certification:
    • Required:
      • None
    • Preferred:
      • A+, Network+, MCP, MCSE
  • Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
    • Required:
      • Strong computer troubleshooting skills
      • Strong understanding of SQL, networking, IT security, interface management
      • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with others as needed
    • Preferred:
      • Familiarity with OSI model (Open Systems Interconnection), specifically how it relates to client / server troubleshooting.
