Transport Aide

Under general supervision of the Nursing Supervisor and in accordance with established policies and procedures, performs multiple tasks related to patient transport and discharge. Transports or discharges patients between Nursing units and ancillary departments; exhibits sound judgment in patient safety and treats the patient with professionalism and respect. Maintains the cleanliness and safety of wheelchairs/stretchers used in patient transport. Provides good and effective customer service to enhance overall patient satisfaction.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

1.0 Level of knowledge normally acquired through the completion of high school level course work.

2.0 Must have a sufficient command of the English language to accurately follow oral and written direction.
