Read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips.Advanced skills needed:Must have experience with post cardiac procedural care (Ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post Op Day 1 Open Heart, permanent Pacemaker placements). Must be able to administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem,Cardene,and Amiodarone.Procedures performed on unit:IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, Chest Tube maintenance, Temporary Pacemakers,Foley insertionsCertifications Required:ACLS, BLS, NIHSSDress Code:(Required uniform)Navy Blue scrubs.
