Ultrasound Tech FT

  • JOB RELATIONSHIPS
    • Responsible to: Radiology Department Manager and Radiology Department Technologist
  • DEFINITION OF POSITION
    • Responsible for performing two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for the diagnosis of disease and study of the malfunction of organs. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in Performance Improvement.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
    • Professional
      • High school graduate and graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
      • One year of radiologic/imaging experience.
      • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography (ARRT)(S) or the America Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). All registry eligible sonographers in order to maintain employment must obtain certification with twenty-four months of hire date.
      • Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
      • Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel and other Window application skills.
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Shift-either Friday, Saturday, & Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, & Monday
