ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST
Job Overview:
The position exists in the radiology department and involves responsibility for performance of diagnostic medical examination of patients using real-time ultrasound imaging and duplex doppler ultrasound. The work is performed under the general direction of a radiologist with leeway allowed for exercise of independent judgement in carrying out technical details of the work. The incumbent does related work as required. Basic computer skills necessary.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program.
Experience: 2 Years Preferred.
Licensure: RDMS credentialed or eligible within 6 months of hire, CPR certification required.
Physical:
Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time, occasional lifting, carrying and pushing items weighing 50+ lbs. Requires full range of motion for handling and lifting to include manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal ranges. Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids on a regular basis. Workload can include stressful situations and irregular workhours.
Salary: $33.12 to $48.38 per hour DOE
Shift: rotating, (5) 8 hours shifts
