Prepares various outpatient unitized billing forms required to bill primary, secondary and tertiary insurance carriers. Performs follow up investigation, enters bill status into computer, works dialysis logs and reports. Is responsible for timely bill submission/ follow up of payment of all claims. Also performs billing to patients responsibility of balances. Responsible for handling returns from Outpatient Workers Compensation and No Fault Vendor, and performing billing function to secondary insurances or patients. Assist supervisor with various special projects. Also responsible to assist with clerical tasks within the Business Office when needed.
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to use Microsoft Windows/ work in a Windows Environment
Professional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with Personnel, Medicare, patients and agencies; in both written and oral forms
Ability to use calculator/ adding machine and other office equipment
Good organizational and analytical skills
Ability to concentrate and be detail oriented
Ability to work independently and complete tasks/ projects accurately and timely.
Ability to interpret reports and function in a highly computerized environment
Knowledge of Hemodialysis facility billing preferred.
