Position Summary
The Unit Clerk assists the nurse in the provision of client care activities as delegated by and under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The position also provides clerical support to the nursing office. The Unit Clerk will assist in the completion and data entry of all assigned medical information for the designated area/center (lab results, medications, immunizations and consults). Under the direction of the nurse, the clerk will assist in the transcription of physician orders. As well as perform basic clerical functions (answering the telephone, copying, scanning and faxing of documents, inventory and ordering office and lab supplies, processing billing forms).
Shifts Available
Full-Time, Monday through Friday 7AM-3PM
Qualifications (Education, Training and Experience):
- High School degree or equivalent required; medical secretarial training preferred.
- Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.
- Experience with acute emotionally challenged children or adolescents preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver's license preferred. SCM certification (observer), CPR/First Aid certification are required and can be obtained during new associate orientation.
