Locums Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

We are seeking a highly skilled
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens opportunity in
Altoona, PA. This position offers the flexibility to work 16-20 shifts per
month, with the option of scheduling blocks of 5 (8-hour) shifts or 4 (10-hour)
shifts. The CRNA will primarily work in the main operating room, providing
anesthesia services for a variety of surgical procedures, with a case load of
3-7 cases in a row.  The
CRNA will be responsible for the full scope of anesthesia care, including
pre-operative assessment, anesthesia administration, and post-operative
monitoring. The provider will work closely with surgeons and the surgical team
to ensure safe and effective anesthesia delivery. The CRNA must be comfortable
managing a range of cases, from routine to complex, in a fast-paced
environment.

The case mix for this
position includes a wide range of services such as cardiac (excluding EP, but
locums may need to handle EP cases), TAVRs, Watchman procedures, health
pediatrics, complex neuro, complex thoracic, ENT, trauma, major vascular,
general and colorectal surgery, orthopedic, gynecology, IR/CT/bronch cases,
plastics, urology, GI, offsite anesthesia, robotics, and general surgery.
Additionally, the Altoona-employed CRNA staff handles all cardiac cases, while
locums may be required to assist with EP cases. The CRNA will also provide
services at 17 sites, including an offsite ASC

Qualifications:

• Board Certified CRNA
• PA State Licensure required
• ACLS Certification
• Preferred: Ability to offer 16-20 shifts per month
• Preferred: Experience working in a high-volume OR environment with
  3-7 cases in a row
