Scrub Tech OR Opportunity – Sharp Memorial Hospital | $51.50/hr | San Diego, CA

We have an exciting Scrub Tech – Operating Room contract opportunity at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, CA.

Position Details:

• Facility: Sharp Memorial Hospital

• Location: 7901 Frost Street, San Diego, CA 92123

• Contract Length: 13 Weeks (with possibility of extension)

• Schedule: 12-hour mid shifts (10:30 AM start)

• On-Call: 12h weekend + 20h weekday (weekend call in addition to scheduled shifts)

• Pay Rate: $51.50/hr

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a scrub tech in a hospital setting

• Strong background in ortho, neuro, and robotics

• Must have prior travel experience

• Completion of approved OR Tech program or equivalent on-the-job training

• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) required

• Scrub Tech Certification preferred

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Adhering to Sharp’s policies, procedures, and ethical standards

• Maintaining all required certifications and compliance documentation

• Anticipating surgical needs and supporting procedures efficiently

• Preparing operating rooms and selecting instruments per physician preference

• Accurate documentation and effective team communication
